About this wine

La Landonne is one of the legendary 'La La' trio from E. Guigal, sourced from the steep, iron-rich clay and limestone slopes of the Côte-Rôtie appellation. Unlike its siblings, this cuvée is composed almost entirely of Syrah, resulting in a wine of immense power, structure, and longevity. It undergoes a long maceration and is aged for approximately 40 months in new oak barrels. The profile is characterized by intense dark fruit, smoked meat, black pepper, and earthy mineral notes, offering a profound depth that evolves beautifully over several decades.

Beginner's Note

This is a powerful, intense wine that demands patience; decant it for several hours before serving to unlock its complex layers.
