A single-vineyard Barolo sourced exclusively from the upper reaches of the Castelletto cru in Monforte d'Alba, adjacent to the estate's winery. Made entirely from Nebbiolo and aged in large Austrian Stockinger oak casks, it develops aromas of sour cherry, violet, rose petal, and spice that evolve toward leather, tobacco, and truffle with age, backed by firm tannins and remarkable longevity.
One of Monforte d'Alba's most precise Castelletto expressions — structured, vertical, and built for the cellar.
New to wine?
A powerful, classic Barolo that rewards patience — decant for about an hour before serving.
Food Pairings
Excellent with roasted red meats, game dishes, aged cheeses, and mushroom-based risottos; also stands up well to Wagyu beef sukiyaki.
When to drink it
Formal dinners, special celebrations, or a sophisticated tasting among connoisseurs.
Terroir & Winemaking
100% Nebbiolo from the upper part of the Castelletto cru, a single-vineyard bottling. Fermented in stainless steel, then aged in large Austrian oak (Stockinger) casks that minimize wood influence and preserve varietal expression.
