Vigneto Boscone

ヴィニェート・ボスコーネ

Castello di Monterinaldi

Sangiovese

About this wine

A single-vineyard Chianti Classico DOCG made from 100% Sangiovese Grosso grown on Boscone, the estate's oldest vineyard (planted over 35 years ago) at roughly 460 meters altitude on stony soil. Unlike most of the estate's range, Vigneto Boscone is fermented and aged entirely in cement vats rather than oak — a deliberate choice to let the vineyard's limestone-driven character speak without wood influence. It shows a bright, intense ruby color with wild cherry, peony, and violet aromas, plus a subtle saline note, and an elegant, lively palate typical of Radda Sangiovese.

Beginner's Note

A great way to taste 'pure' Sangiovese and terroir without any oak seasoning in the way.

Sommelier's Note

"No-oak Sangiovese this precise is rare in Chianti Classico — Boscone tastes like the vineyard, not the cellar."

Food Pairings

Best with dishes that let its mineral, saline edge shine — wild boar ragù, roasted duck, or aged Tuscan pecorino. Its structure also stands up to grilled red meats.

When to drink it

Wine-focused dinners, single-vineyard tastings, special occasions
