Castello di Meleto

Sangiovese

About this wine

The flagship Chianti Classico of Castello di Meleto, a blend of grapes from the estate's three historic plots of Meleto, Poggiarso and Casi. Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel with 10-12 days of maceration and aged around 12-15 months in large Slavonian oak barrels, it shows a vibrant ruby red color with aromas of red berries, violet and gentle spice, framed by refined tannins and a persistent finish that speaks of the Gaiole in Chianti terroir.
