About this wine

A 100% Merlot Toscana IGT named for the estate's oldest Merlot vineyard, planted 50 years ago in gray clay soils. Crushed and fermented in stainless steel, then aged approximately two years in Allier barriques. Offers sumptuous aromas of black raspberry, blackberry and blueberry with sweet spice, vanilla, chocolate and dried herbs; soft, silky texture with sweet, firm tannins and a long, fruit-laden finish.

A soft, plush Merlot that offers an easy entry point for those new to Super Tuscan reds.

Sommelier's Note
