Dolcetto

About this wine

Menturin is a historic Dolcetto d'Alba DOC from grapes grown on the southern slopes of the Menturin vineyard, on the hillsides of Gallina. Deep ruby-red with violet reflections, it offers intense aromas of wild Langhe flowers, ripe cherry, plum and berry fruit, with a full, soft palate, an almond-like finish and pleasant tannin.

Beginner's Note

Soft tannins and juicy fruit make this one of the most approachable reds in the Francone range.

Sommelier's Note

"Menturin shows why Dolcetto is the Langhe's favorite everyday red — soft, generous and never demanding."

Food Pairings

Excellent with cured meats, egg pasta such as tajarin, grilled meats and medium-aged cheeses like Murazzano.

When to drink it

Weeknight dinners, casual trattoria-style meals.
