Introduced from the 2020 vintage, Barbaresco Starderi comes from the Starderi MGA in Neive, whose clay-marl soil overlooks the Tanaro river, moderating the local microclimate. Limited to around 3,000 bottles, it shows sweet red cherry, cinnamon, nutmeg, orange peel, marzipan and raspberry coulis, with smooth tannins and harmonious acidity.
With only around 3,000 bottles made, Starderi is one of Francone's most collectible releases — the clay-marl soils near the Tanaro give it a distinctive sweet-spice signature.
