About this wine
Ca' Viola's first-ever white wine, launched as part of the estate's Alta Langa project from a single hectare of vines in the Cuneo commune of Cissone. Named 'Clem' after Clemente, Beppe Caviola's father. Brilliant straw yellow with golden highlights, an expressive bouquet of white flowers, ripe peach, citrus zest and a distinct mineral signature with hints of ginger and delicate spice. The wine rests 10 months on fine lees before release, giving a juicy, fresh palate with pronounced acidity and minerality.
A crisp, aromatic white that's an easy, refreshing counterpoint to Ca' Viola's structured reds.
Sommelier's Note
"Proof that a red-wine specialist can make a serious white on the first try — Clem's mineral drive and lees-aged texture punch well above its Alta Langa origins."

バルトゥロット
Barturot
RedDolcetto
Ca' Viola's founding wine, first released in 1991 and the bottling that established Beppe Caviola as a producer in his own right, not just a celebrated consulting winemaker. Sourced from roughly 50-year-old Dolcetto vines in the single Barturot vineyard in Montelupo Albese, fermented in stainless steel and aged 8-10 months in large Slavonian oak casks. Deep purple-red in color, with intense aromas of ripe cherry, plum, coffee bean, leather and juniper, layered with blackcurrant, violet and peony. Sweet, dense fruit on the palate balanced by polished tannins and a spicy finish.
ヴィロット
Vilot
RedDolcetto
First produced in 1996, Vilot is the 'younger brother' of Barturot — the snappy, ready-to-drink archetype of Ca' Viola's everyday wine philosophy. The fruit comes from 3.05 hectares of sandy-loamy, calcareous soils in Montelupo Albese. Rich ruby red in color, with a nose of fresh fruit and blackberry; smooth, agile and fresh on the palate with balanced acidity and slightly steely tannins.
ブリケット
Brichet
RedBarbera
A Barbera d'Alba blended from several plots of roughly 20-year-old vines (almost 2.4 hectares total) around Montelupo Albese, aged in large oak for about 15 months. Intense red with violet reflections; the nose combines ripe red fruit (cherry, plum) with sweet spice, wild flowers and a light toastiness from wood aging. Vigorous yet balanced on the palate, with Barbera's signature lively acidity, well-integrated tannins and a long, pleasantly bitter finish.
ブリック・デュ・ルッヴ
Bric du Luv
RedBarbera
Ca' Viola's flagship Barbera, from a small 1.5-hectare, south-facing plot of vines averaging 65 years old in Montelupo Albese, planted on shallow, sandy-loamy calcareous soil at 400m altitude. Originally released as 'Langhe Rosso' blending Barbera with a touch of Nebbiolo, it has been 100% Barbera since the 2007 vintage. Deep, meaty and vibrant, with complex leather, graphite, plum and black cherry aromas plus singular balsamic and menthol notes; the palate is dense and full-bodied with zesty acidity and ripe, velvety tannins.
ランゴーネ
Rangone
RedNebbiolo
Ca' Viola's Langhe Nebbiolo, a blend from vineyard parcels in Montelupo Albese, fermented in temperature-controlled tanks with indigenous yeasts and matured 15-17 months in large oak casks. Known as 'Giblin' in earlier vintages, the wine was renamed 'Rangone' starting with the 2021 vintage — after the Counts Rangone of Montelupo Albese, the winery's historic home — and now carries special label artwork. Intense ruby red with garnet nuances, a bouquet of ripe red fruit (cherry, plum), violet, spice and a light touch of vanilla; elegant and austere on the palate with velvety tannins and a persistent, fruity finish.
ソットカステッロ・ディ・ノヴェッロ
Sottocastello di Novello
RedNebbiolo
Ca' Viola's Barolo, first produced from the 2005 vintage, sourced from a 1.89-hectare Nebbiolo vineyard at the foot of Novello's neo-Gothic castle, south-facing at over 470m altitude — a site combining Barolo's elegance with the power of neighboring Monforte. Fermented in thermo-controlled cement tanks with indigenous yeasts, aged in large oak. A captivating bouquet of cherry and raspberry, violet and rose, with earthy truffle and forest-floor notes; the palate is concentrated, with plum and macerated raspberry giving way to darker earth tones, fine tannins and vibrant acidity.
