Azienda Agricola I Luoghi

Cabernet Sauvignon

About this wine

I Luoghi Rosso is the estate's entry-level Bolgheri DOC, made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grown on the property's high-density vineyards in Castagneto Carducci. The grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and extended maceration of at least 24 days, followed by roughly 18 months of aging in French oak barriques. The result is a deep ruby-red wine with violet reflections, offering aromas of ripe cherry and raspberry layered with spice, vanilla, and a light toasted-wood note, backed by the vineyard's classic Bolgheri structure.

Beginner's Note

An approachable, fruit-forward introduction to Bolgheri's Cabernet Sauvignon style — well-priced for the region.

Sommelier's Note

"This is Bolgheri Cabernet Sauvignon distilled to its essence — proof that the region's entry-level wines can still show real varietal character."

Food Pairings

A versatile red that pairs well with grilled red meats, roast chicken, charcuterie, and aged pecorino. Its bright fruit and moderate tannins also work with tomato-based pasta dishes.

When to drink it
