Antinori Cervaro della Sala

アンティノリ チェルヴァーロ・デッラ・サーラ

Antinori

Chardonnay · Grechetto

About this wine

Antinori's flagship white from the Castello della Sala estate in Umbria, first produced in 1985. A blend of Chardonnay (typically 90%+) with a small portion of native Grechetto, it was among the first Italian whites to undergo barrique fermentation and malolactic aging, and remains one of Italy's benchmark age-worthy whites.

Beginner's Note

A rich yet racy white that proves Italian Chardonnay can age as gracefully as top Burgundy.

Sommelier's Note

"One of Italy's original barrique-aged whites — still among the country's most convincing arguments that white wine can cellar for decades."

Food Pairings

Excellent with seafood bouillabaisse, grilled fish, shellfish, and creamy risottos; the oak and acidity also handle roasted white meats well.

When to drink it

Elegant dinners, seafood-focused menus, and white wine tastings for connoisseurs.

Terroir & Winemaking
