About this wine

A Roero DOCG red from the Prachiosso plot in Sant'Anna di Monteu Roero, made from approximately 98% Nebbiolo with a small percentage of Arneis. Grown at about 320m on limestone-clay soil with excellent sun exposure, it shows intense ruby red color with an aromatic nose of pomegranate, plum, tobacco leaf, red fruits like strawberry and raspberry, floral geranium notes and spice. The palate is full and mouth-filling with silky texture, rich red fruit, earth and tobacco, delicate tannin, and a full-bodied finish of red fruit, berries, vanilla and roasted spice.

Beginner's Note

A more approachable, fruit-forward introduction to Roero's Nebbiolo before trying the Riserva Sudisfà.

Sommelier's Note

"Prachiosso captures Roero's gentler, sandier expression of Nebbiolo — silkier and more immediately generous than Barolo or Barbaresco."

Food Pairings

Pairs beautifully with braised meats, mushroom dishes, and aged hard cheeses.

When to drink it

Sunday roasts, dinner parties, autumn and winter meals.
