Opra is a red wine from Agricola Carlini's estate in San Rocco, Suvereto, built around the Sangiovese and Prugnolo Gentile fruit that Lorenzo Carlini favors for his reds. As with the estate's other wines, it is produced in very small volumes from a single hectare of traditional mixed-planting vineyard on the Tuscan coast near Val di Cornia.

Sommelier's Note

One of the rarest bottlings from a one-hectare Suvereto grower — worth tracking down if you can find it.
