Coteaux du Vendômois is an AOC in the Loir valley of the Loir-et-Cher department, between Vendôme and Montoire-sur-le-Loir. It moved from VDQS (1968) to AOC in 2001. Rosé (vin gris) is made only from Pineau d'Aunis, reds are based on Pineau d'Aunis with Cabernet Franc, Pinot noir and Gamay, and whites are based on Chenin blanc with Chardonnay allowed.
