Antoine Sunier
Antoine Sunier established his domaine in 2014 in Régnié-Durette, following in the footsteps of his brother Julien Sunier. He farms roughly 5.5 hectares — about 4.3 ha in Régnié (Les Forchets, Les Bulliats, Montmerond; 50-year-old vines on average) and 1.2 ha in Morgon (Grand Cras, 60-year-old vines) — certified organic since 2017. Fermentation is traditional whole-cluster carbonic maceration with indigenous yeasts only, followed by aging mostly in used Burgundy barrels and concrete tanks. His Gamays are celebrated for their purity, vibrant acidity and silky tannins, reflecting the granite soils of Régnié and Morgon, and he has quickly become a leading figure in natural Beaujolais.
