Val delle Rose
ヴァル・デッレ・ローゼ
Morellino di Scansano's largest winery, by the Cecchi family
Val delle Rose is the flagship Maremma estate of the Cecchi family, one of Tuscany's oldest wine dynasties. Acquired in 1996 in Poggio la Mozza near Grosseto, the estate has grown from 25 to 186 hectares — including over 100 hectares under vine — making it the largest winery in the Morellino di Scansano DOCG appellation. Since the 2021 harvest the vineyards have been certified organic. Cooled by breezes off the nearby Tyrrhenian Sea, the estate's varied soils give its Sangiovese-based Morellino di Scansano wines (led by the Rosamante bottling) a distinctive freshness and salinity, while its Vermentino-based Litorale showcases the Maremma coast's white-wine potential. A state-of-the-art winery, inaugurated in 2011, supports winemaker Andrea Fiorello's work translating the estate's coastal terroir into wine.
