Kakizawa Chardonnay Naked is Sun Sun Winery's unoaked expression of estate-grown Chardonnay, made entirely from fruit harvested at the winery's own Kakizawa vineyard in Shiojiri, Nagano, at 840-864m elevation. True to its name, 'Naked' is fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel with no oak influence, letting the vineyard's fruit speak for itself. It shows bright aromas of citrus, white peach, and osmanthus blossom, with crisp acidity and gentle fruit on a clean, refreshing finish -- an unoaked counterpoint to the winery's barrel-aged Chateau SunSun Chardonnay and Kakizawa Chardonnay Barrel Aging.
