Shikishima White is Shikishima Winery's everyday dry white, made from 100% Delaware grapes grown on the winery's own estate vineyard at roughly 600m elevation in Kamezawa, Kai City, Yamanashi. Grapes are destemmed and pressed at low pressure to draw out bitterness-free juice, and only the clear settled must is fermented, giving a crisp, easy-drinking dry white with bright lemon and lime aromas. It succeeds the winery's former 'Shosenkyo' label as the estate's flagship dry white.

Sommelier's Note

Shikishima White proves that Delaware — often dismissed as a table grape — can make a genuinely refreshing, food-friendly dry white when the winemaking stays this clean and low-intervention.
