Chardonnay Sparkling is Sera Winery's traditional-method (bottle-fermented) sparkling wine made from 100% Chardonnay grown in Sera Town, Hiroshima. It was the winery's first attempt at a sparkling Chardonnay, and the ripe fruit character carries through in complex aromas of honey and white peach, balanced by fine, delicate bubbles, comparatively gentle acidity, and a refreshing, lingering finish. The higher alcohol from fully ripened grapes gives the wine added weight without losing its fruit-driven freshness.
Sera Winery's first sparkling Chardonnay proves that Sera Town's high-altitude fruit can carry real weight and honeyed complexity even under the discipline of the traditional method.
