Family-run Suvereto estate crafting terroir-driven DOCG reds and olive oil.
A family-run estate in the medieval town of Suvereto, in Tuscany's Val di Cornia, run by Pietro Petricci and his wife Marilena Del Pianta with roots dating back to the early 20th century. The estate spans approximately 22 hectares, including 11 hectares of vineyards planted at roughly 4,800 vines per hectare (unirrigated, cordone speronato training) and around 1,000 olive trees. The property produces structured DOCG reds such as the Sangiovese-based Buca di Cleonte (Suvereto DOCG), the Cabernet Sauvignon Nubio, and the Aleatico passito Stillo, alongside whites, rosés and extra virgin olive oil, all reflecting the terroir of the Alta Maremma.
