Bouzy Grand Cru RM making Champagne without malolactic fermentation.

About Maurice Vesselle

Champagne Maurice Vesselle is a family-run récoltant-manipulant (grower-producer) house in the Grand Cru village of Bouzy, on the Montagne de Reims. Founded in 1955 by Maurice Vesselle, it is now run by his sons Didier and Thierry, who farm 7.5 hectares entirely classified Grand Cru, in Bouzy and Tours-sur-Marne. The estate is HVE (High Environmental Value) certified and works the soil by deep ploughing. Pinot Noir leads the blends, with Chardonnay for finesse. The wines are made without malolactic fermentation to keep freshness, and the house also makes a still Bouzy Rouge and holds a large library of older vintages.
