Hosaka Sannokura Rouge is a flagship red in Hombo Shuzo's Château Mars Prestige line, made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grown at the winery's own Hinoshiro Farm vineyard on the Hosaka hillside (Sannokura, Nirasaki, Yamanashi) together with fruit from contract growers in the Hosaka district. The blend ratio varies by vintage. Aged in oak barrels, it shows a complex, layered bouquet and a powerful, full-bodied palate. The 2020 vintage won Gold at the IWSC 2025, the 2018 vintage won Silver at the 2023 Japan Wine Competition (European red varieties category) and Bronze at the 2023 Decanter World Wine Awards.
