A single-grower Koshu bottling in the Chateau Mars Prestige range, made entirely from Koshu grapes grown by contract farmer Tai Aiyama in the Hosaka district of Nirasaki, Yamanashi. Bottled only after careful selection from wines still maturing in tank and barrel, it is a dry white with a rounded, well-balanced fullness that showcases the character of a single vineyard site. Production is limited, with only a few hundred bottles released per vintage.
One of Chateau Mars's most quietly convincing single-grower Koshu bottlings — proof that Koshu can carry real varietal identity when a single vineyard and grower are put front and center.
