Hokuto Chardonnay is a regional, Yamanashi-only release from Mars Yamanashi Winery, crafted from 100% Chardonnay grown at roughly 700 meters elevation in Hokuto City, in one of Japan's sunniest wine regions. Fermented and aged in French oak, it shows inviting notes of orchard fruit and white flowers with subtle hints of vanilla and spice, framed by refreshing acidity and a soft, generous mid-palate.
A rare regional expression of Chardonnay from Hokuto's high-elevation, sun-drenched terroir — softer and more generous than Mars's Hosaka bottling, with just enough oak to round out its bright acidity.
