Louange Merlot is a single-varietal red from Kitanoro Jozo made entirely from estate-grown Merlot in Fuefuki City, Yamanashi. The wine is aged for about a year in oak barrels before bottling, then given further bottle aging, resulting in a medium-bodied red with gentle, refined tannins and a soft touch of oak. It pairs naturally with meat dishes and tomato-based stews.
