K.S. Kawachi Wine White Dry is a dry white wine from Katashimo Wine Foods (Katashimo Winery) -- western Japan's oldest continuously operating winery, founded in Kashiwara, Osaka in 1914 -- made from 100% domestically grown Delaware grapes from the historic Kawachi region of Osaka. Part of the winery's 'K.S.' (King Selby) regional-blend line alongside its sister bottling K.S. Kawachi Wine Red Dry, it shows a deep hue with toasty nuances and fresh citrus aromas, bright lemon-and-pear-like acidity, and a charming, building fruitiness that finishes with a gentle bitterness tying the wine together. Bottled at 720ml (also available in a 300ml size), it is sold at open price.

Sommelier's Note

The white counterpart to K.S. Kawachi Wine Red Dry -- a rare example of a fully domestic, single-Delaware dry white from western Japan's oldest winery, worth trying for its citrus-driven freshness and gentle bitter finish.
