K.S. Kashiwara Wine Red Dry is a dry red wine from Katashimo Wine Foods (Katashimo Winery), the oldest winery in western Japan, founded in 1914 in Kashiwara, Osaka. Part of the "King Selby (K.S.)" place-name series, it takes its name from Kashiwara itself, as a sister bottling to "K.S. Kawachi Wine Red Dry." It is a domestic-grape blend of Merlot (32%), Cabernet Sauvignon (29%), and Muscat Bailey A (30%), aged in oak barrels, giving it a medium body with a mellow, rounded character and a fruity, generous bouquet; the label depicts a Meiji-era grape harvest scene from Kashiwara. It won Gold at the Feminalise World Wine Competition 2020 and was named "TOP OF THE BEST" in the Japanese wine category. Sold in a 720ml bottle (also available in 360ml), open pricing.
The oak-aged, award-winning sibling to K.S. Kawachi Wine Red Dry — same three-grape blend philosophy, but with barrel roundness and international recognition (Feminalise 2020 Gold) that set it apart.
