Barrel-Aged Koshu is Ikeda Winery's signature standard-tier white, made from 100% Koshu grapes grown in Katsunuma, Koshu City, Yamanashi. Cool-fermented in modern stainless steel tanks, the wine is then aged in seasoned (previously used) oak barrels rather than new ones, adding gentle roundness without overt oak flavor. The result is a medium-dry white with bright citrus and green-apple aromas, soft matured notes, and lively acidity — distinct from the winery's premium Select White, which is fermented and aged entirely in new French oak using single-vineyard Hishiyama fruit.
