Barrel-fermented, low-dosage grower Champagne from Rilly-la-Montagne

About Herbert & Co.

Herbert & Co. is a récoltant-manipulant Champagne house based in Rilly-la-Montagne on the Montagne de Reims. Thomas Herbert and his partner Marie-Charlotte created the brand from the family estate; the first harvest was 2016 and the first bottles were sold in 2019. Fruit comes from Premier Cru Rilly-la-Montagne and Grand Cru sites such as Verzenay and Mailly. The base wines are vinified in Burgundian oak barrels and aged on the lees for at least three years, in a low-dosage style that emphasizes grape variety and terroir, including single-variety cuvées such as 1000% Pinot Noir.
