Chanter Dela Dry Nouveau is the 'nouveau' (new-vintage) release of Diamond Winery's Delaware-based dry white, sold alongside the winery's Koshu Nouveau, Berry A Nouveau and Kyoho Nouveau each autumn. Made from seeded Delaware grapes grown around Katsunuma, it is crafted to showcase the crisp, lively acidity of freshly pressed fruit, released young to be enjoyed while its aromatics are at their most vivid. Though it shares its dry, crisp profile with the winery's standard Chanter Dela Dry, this nouveau bottling is a separate seasonal release meant to be drunk soon after its autumn debut.

Sommelier's Note

A vivid snapshot of the Delaware harvest — drink it young to catch its crisp acidity and fruit at their peak.

New to wine?

A light, easy-drinking dry white and a gentle first step into Japanese Delaware wines.

Food Pairings

The bright acidity and light body make it a natural match for sashimi, tempura, and lightly simmered vegetable dishes (nimono) — the same style of food the winery recommends for its standard Dela Dry.

When to drink it

Best enjoyed young, soon after its autumn nouveau release — casual meals, izakaya-style dining, or as an aperitif.

Terroir & Winemaking

Produced from seeded ('tane-ari') Delaware grapes as a nouveau-style release — vinified and bottled quickly after harvest to preserve fresh, primary fruit character and a dry, crisp finish. Bottled in 720ml format.
