Coltrada Blanc is the winery's staple white wine from Coltrada, the small family estate run by Kozo and Michiko Hosaka in Tetta, Niimi City, Okayama Prefecture. The 2024 vintage is a blend of Chardonnay, Delaware and Semillon grown on the same limestone karst plateau as Domaine Tetta, drawing on the couple's contract-fermentation experience at La Grande Colline since the winery's founding in 2013. The wine shows Chardonnay-like tropical fruit character with lime and citrus notes, a briny mineral edge, refreshing acidity and a fuller, rounder texture than the aromatics alone would suggest. The Semillon portion is picked at a dry, later stage of the harvest to add weight and depth to the blend.
A Chardonnay-forward blend with a briny, mineral streak from Tetta's limestone plateau — proof that Coltrada's everyday white punches well above its price.
