About this wine
One of Castello di Gabbiano's two single-vineyard Gran Selezione bottlings, Bellezza is produced from 100% Sangiovese grown on a roughly 17-hectare vineyard at about 400 meters elevation within the estate. First bottled under the Gran Selezione designation in 2011 (among the original 26 wines to carry it), it ferments and ages in new and once-used French oak barriques for around 14 months before further bottle aging.
A serious, structured red for those ready to move beyond entry-level Chianti — dense, tannic, and built to age.
Sommelier's Note
"Bellezza is Gabbiano's proof of terroir — single vineyard, single variety, and a decade-plus track record of vertical tastings that show it ages beautifully."
Food Pairings
Rich and tannic enough for a Bistecca alla Fiorentina, braised short ribs, or aged Parmigiano-Reggiano; the toasted spice notes also flatter grilled unagi or teriyaki-glazed dishes.
When to drink it
Milestone celebrations, steak dinners, cellar-worthy gifts

キャンティ・クラシコ
Chianti Classico
RedSangiovese · Colorino
Castello di Gabbiano's entry-level Chianti Classico DOCG, made from roughly 90% Sangiovese with a small addition of Colorino, sourced from the estate's vineyards around San Casciano in Val di Pesa. Fermented and aged briefly in stainless steel and large oak casks to preserve fresh red-fruit character, it offers the classic tension of Sangiovese acidity against ripe cherry and plum fruit.
キャンティ・クラシコ・リゼルヴァ
Chianti Classico Riserva
RedSangiovese · Merlot
Castello di Gabbiano's Riserva-tier Chianti Classico DOCG, blending roughly 95% Sangiovese with a small portion of Merlot for added richness. Aged longer in oak than the estate's annata bottling, per Chianti Classico Riserva regulations, it shows deeper structure alongside notes of ripe cherry, plum, leather, and tobacco leaf.
チェルバイオラ
Cerbaiola
RedSangiovese
The estate's second single-vineyard Gran Selezione, Cerbaiola comes from a distinct parcel in San Donato in Poggio — in a different UGA (Unità Geografiche Aggiuntive) zone than Bellezza's San Casciano vineyard. Made entirely from Sangiovese, it is a newer addition to Gabbiano's top tier, showing a lighter-bodied, more mineral and saline expression than the denser Bellezza.
アレアンツァ
Alleanza
RedMerlot · Cabernet Sauvignon
A Toscana IGT "Super Tuscan" style blend of roughly 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from estate vineyards suited to these international varieties within the Chianti Classico zone's limestone and clay soils. Aged 16-18 months in first- and second-passage French oak barriques, Alleanza balances Bordeaux-variety structure with the warmth of the Tuscan terroir.
ダーク・ナイト
Dark Knight
RedCabernet Sauvignon · Merlot · Sangiovese
A Toscana IGT red blend led by Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and Sangiovese, named for "Il Cavaliere" — the knight who for centuries protected the Castello di Gabbiano estate. Aged around 8 months in barrel plus further bottle aging before release, Dark Knight is built as a bolder, more fruit-forward, everyday expression of the estate's red-blend style.
ピノ・グリージョ・デッレ・ヴェネツィエ
Pinot Grigio delle Venezie
WhitePinot Grigio
Sourced from the cool-climate Delle Venezie zone spanning Veneto, Trentino-Alto Adige, and Friuli in northeastern Italy, this Pinot Grigio departs from Gabbiano's Tuscan heartland to offer a crisp, aromatic white. Pale straw yellow with floral and citrus aromatics, it shows notes of ripe pear and melon balanced by fresh acidity and light minerality.
