Fermented with about 15 days of skin maceration in stainless steel, the wine is then aged 24 months in small oak barrels followed by a further 12 months in bottle before release — well beyond the DOCG's mandatory 38-month minimum. The result is a ruby-to-garnet wine with an intense bouquet of spice and underbrush, firm tannins, and the structured, age-worthy character typical of Novello, one of the eleven Barolo communes.
