Bussia Soprana

Nebbiolo

About this wine

The estate's classic Barolo is a blend of Nebbiolo from Bussia Soprana's own crus in Monforte d'Alba — Bussia, Mosconi, Gabutti and Colonnello. Combining fruit from these plots gives a balanced, structured wine that captures the essence of the commune's terroir without singling out one vineyard. Traditional fermentation and extended aging in large Slavonian oak casks (botti) produce refined tannins, bright acidity and real aging potential.

Beginner's Note

A structured, traditional Barolo that rewards an hour of decanting before serving.

Sommelier's Note

"A benchmark for how blending multiple storied crus can produce a Barolo as complete and balanced as many single-vineyard bottlings."

Food Pairings

Pairs well with braised beef, roasted lamb, game, and aged Parmigiano-Reggiano. Also excellent with truffle-infused risotto.

When to drink it

Formal dinners, celebrations, and gatherings with fellow wine enthusiasts.
