About this wine
Sela is Bodegas Roda's most immediate red, sourced from younger vines (15 to 30 years old) grown in goblet-trained (gobelet) plots across Rioja Alta. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in oak vats and matured for around 12 months in used French barriques, it favors fresh red fruit — cherry, sage, and cedar nuances — over structure, delivering fine, silky tannins and a persistent finish. It captures Roda's house philosophy in its most youthful, energetic form.
The most approachable entry point into Roda's range — fruit-forward and easy to enjoy without sacrificing the house's signature elegance.
Sommelier's Note
"Sela proves that youthful Tempranillo doesn't need heavy oak to show class — it's Roda's most energetic and immediately drinkable wine."
Food Pairings
Excellent with grilled meats, charcuterie boards, roasted chicken, and tapas-style small plates. Its bright acidity and moderate tannins also work well with tomato-based dishes.

Bodegas Roda Roda I Reserva Rioja
RedTempranillo · Graciano · Garnacha
Roda I is the flagship expression of Bodegas Roda, representing the pinnacle of their winemaking philosophy. Sourced from the finest old-vine parcels in Rioja Alta, this wine focuses on the black fruit spectrum, offering remarkable depth, elegance, and a silky texture. It undergoes meticulous aging in French oak barrels, resulting in a sophisticated profile characterized by dark berries, mineral undertones, and refined tannins. It is a wine of great longevity and complexity, showcasing the true potential of the Tempranillo grape when handled with precision and respect for terroir.
シルシオン
Cirsion
RedTempranillo · Graciano
Added to the Roda range in 1998, Cirsion is the winery's deluxe cuvée, sourced from selected old-vine parcels (60+ years) whose grapes are hand-selected bunch by bunch. It ferments in oak vats at controlled temperature and ages just 6-8 months in new French oak — the shortest of any Roda wine — challenging the idea that highly concentrated Tempranillo needs extended oak aging. The result is a complex, deep wine with violet, blue and black fruit, hot-stone minerality, and seamless, satin-like tannins.
ロダI ブランコ
Roda I Blanco
WhiteViura · Malvasía de Rioja · Garnacha Blanca
Roda I Blanco is Bodegas Roda's first white wine, born after years of testing on old Viura, Garnacha Blanca, and Malvasía vineyards planted on the higher, poorer slopes around the winery — sites less suited to Tempranillo. Grapes undergo maceration in French oak vats, then ferment in the same vats and in French oak bocoyes, aging around 18 months in oak followed by further bottle aging before release. The result is an original, gastronomic white with grapefruit, quince, white peach, elderflower, and a rhubarb-like vegetal edge, framed by enveloping texture, vibrant acidity, and limestone minerality.
ロダ・レセルバ
Roda Reserva
RedTempranillo · Graciano · Garnacha
Known as Roda Dos until the 2001 vintage, Roda Reserva is made from vines over 30 years old across Rioja Alta. Hand-picked and fermented in open foudre, the wine is gravity-decanted to age around 15 months in new and one-year-old French barriques, then gravity-decanted again for bottling unfiltered and unfined. The result emphasizes red fruit character with sweet spice and a fresh, silky, voluptuous palate — a wine of real depth and class in a fruit-forward register.
