Barbera d'Alba Meriame is Azienda Agricola Sukula's second wine, made from 100% Barbera grown in the same Meriame vineyard in Serralunga d'Alba that produces the estate's Barolo. Fermented in stainless steel with partial aging in wood, it shows deep ruby color, ripe cherry and plum fruit, balanced acidity, and a fuller structure than typical Barbera d'Alba thanks to the quality of the Serralunga terroir.
Proof that Barbera grown in a great Barolo cru can rival wines twice its price — a serious, structured expression of the variety.
