Founded in 2008 by Lisa Baccellini in Castagneto Carducci, La Bolgherese is a boutique winery spanning 13 hectares, of which half are planted with vines. Rooted in a family tradition of wine and olive oil production, the estate emphasizes an authentic expression of Bolgheri terroir. In collaboration with Count Gaddo della Gherardesca, the winery revived the historic label 'Castello di Donoratico', named after a 12th-century fortress built by the della Gherardesca family, honoring the region's noble heritage. The estate also operates an on-site enoteca where visitors taste Bolgheri wines, including its own Brecciato Bolgheri Rosso, alongside celebrated neighboring Supertuscans, paired with traditional Tuscan products.
