Asuka Muscat Bailey A is a single-varietal red from Asuka Wine (Habikino, Osaka), made entirely from 2025-vintage Muscat Bailey A grapes harvested at the winery's own vineyards. It shows the grape's signature charming aromatics — strawberry, cherry, candy, and cotton candy — with a light body, gentle tannins, and a fruit-forward, easy-drinking finish. Sold only in a 750ml bottle at 12% ABV; official price is ¥2,500 (tax included).

Sommelier's Note

A straightforward, charming expression of Muscat Bailey A's signature red-berry aromatics — one of Asuka Wine's most approachable reds.

New to wine?

Low in tannin and fruit-forward, this is an easy entry point for red wine newcomers or those new to Japanese wine.

Food Pairings

The gentle tannins and fruit-forward profile pair beautifully with Japanese dishes seasoned with soy sauce and mirin — yakitori with tare sauce, teriyaki chicken, and simmered root vegetables — as well as fattier cuts of tuna sashimi.

When to drink it

Casual dinners, everyday drinking, and Japanese-style home cooking.
