Terratico di Bibbona DOC is a coastal wine appellation in the province of Livorno, Tuscany, covering the municipalities of Bibbona, Cecina, Collesalvetti and Rosignano Marittimo — just north of the world-famous Bolgheri. It shares Bolgheri's Mediterranean climate of cooling sea breezes and high luminosity, with diverse sandy and clay-rich soils. The DOC produces red, rosato and white wines: reds and rosati are blended mainly from Sangiovese and Merlot (minimum 35% each) with Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, while the white (minimum 50% Vermentino, alongside Trebbiano) has increasingly shown high quality in this coastal zone.
