About Yves Ruffin
Yves Ruffin is a small récoltant-manipulant Champagne house based in Avenay-Val-d'Or, a Premier Cru village in the Vallée de la Marne. The family farms about 3 hectares in Avenay-Val-d'Or and Tauxières, planted 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, and has been certified organic since 1971, making it one of Champagne's earliest organic growers. Wines are vinified in oak or acacia barrels with minimal dosage (0-6 g/l), and production is around 8,000 bottles a year. The estate passed from founder Yves to his son Thierry, then to Sylvie Ruffin from 2007, and today her son Antonin is the third generation working alongside her.
