Artisanal Swartland wines from the foot of Kasteelberg.
About Yellowwood Winery
Located at the base of the Kasteelberg Mountain in the Riebeek Valley (Swartland), Yellowwood Winery is a boutique producer founded by Alan Cooke in 2010, focused on artisanal, hand-crafted wines under the 'Aspoestertjie' (Cinderella) label — a project that transforms a small, neglected 20-year-old Colombard vineyard into a princess-like wine. The estate also serves as a collaborative cellar hub for emerging Swartland winemakers such as Donovan Rall (Rall Wines) and Tim Hillock (Tim Hillock Wines). The winery's minimal-intervention, dry-farmed approach reflects the values of the Swartland Independent Producers (SIP) movement, of which it is a member.
Who Is This For?
