The pinnacle of Mosel Riesling: precision, elegance, and pure terroir expression.
About Willi Schaefer
Located in Graach, Weingut Willi Schaefer is a legendary family producer in the Mosel, renowned for crafting some of the most elegant and precise Rieslings in the world. Family viticulture roots in Graach trace back to 1590; since 2015 the estate has been run by Christoph Schaefer and his wife Andrea. The tiny 4-hectare estate focuses on steep, slate-rich Grosse Lagen (grand cru-equivalent) vineyards, above all Graacher Domprobst, Graacher Himmelreich, and Wehlener Sonnenuhr. Winemaking is guided by taste and feel rather than analytics, emphasizing minimal intervention so the terroir can express itself through vibrant acidity, crystalline purity, and remarkable aging potential. A VDP Praedikatsweingut member, the estate is celebrated for wines with a delicate balance between residual sugar and acidity, embodying the classic Mosel style.
