About Weingut Zur Schwane
Weingut Zur Schwane is a VDP.Franken estate in Volkach am Main, Germany, whose roots trace to a guesthouse first documented in 1404. The Pfaff family began winegrowing here in the early 1930s, and since 1997 the estate has been run by Eva Pfaff-Düker and Ralph Düker, VDP members since 1993. Around 30 hectares are planted mainly to Silvaner (about 50%), Riesling and Pinot varieties, farmed on Muschelkalk (shell-limestone) soils across top sites including the VDP.Grosse Lage vineyards Am Lumpen 1655 (Escherndorf) and Ratsherr (Volkach). The estate is also linked to the Romantik Hotel Zur Schwane and its Michelin-starred restaurant Weinstock.
