About Weingut Wachtstetter

Weingut Wachtstetter is a family-run estate in Pfaffenhofen (Michelbacher Straße 8), in the Württemberg wine region, led by Rainer Wachtstetter. Admitted to the VDP.Württemberg regional association in 2009, the estate farms roughly 19-20 hectares on the steep gypsum-keuper and sandstone slopes of the Heuchelberg, an area nicknamed the 'Swabian Tuscany'. It is best known as a leading producer of Lemberger, which accounts for around a third of its plantings, alongside Riesling, Trollinger, Spätburgunder, Weissburgunder and Chardonnay. The estate's VDP.Grosse Lage vineyards include Spitzenberg, Geißberg and Mühlberg, and its wines have been recognized by guides such as Eichelmann and Gault&Millau. The property also runs the traditional inn 'Adler' amid its vineyards.
