Elegant, terroir-driven Pinot wines from the French border.

About Weingut Jülg

Weingut Jülg is a family-run estate in Schweigen-Rechtenbach, at the southern tip of the Pfalz directly on the French border, founded in 1961 by Oskar Jülg. Today Werner Jülg (sparkling wine) and his son Johannes Jülg (still wine) run roughly 25 hectares of organically farmed, limestone-rich vineyards that straddle both German and French territory near Wissembourg. The estate has been a VDP member since 2021, one of the youngest in the Pfalz, and focuses on Burgundian varieties—especially Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) and Weissburgunder/Chardonnay—alongside Riesling. Johannes Jülg was named Falstaff Newcomer of the Year in 2018, and the estate is widely regarded as one of Germany's rising stars for terroir-driven Pinot Noir.
