About Weingut Gutzler
Weingut Gutzler is a VDP Prädikatsweingut based in Gundheim, in the Wonnegau district of southern Rheinhessen. Run by Christine and Michael Gutzler in the third generation, the estate has been a VDP member since 2006 and has farmed certified organic (EU Bio / DE-ÖKO) since the 2017 vintage. Its roughly 17-hectare vineyard is planted mainly to Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) and Riesling, with parcels in top-rated VDP.Grosse Lage sites including Morstein and Brunnenhäuschen in Westhofen, Höllenbrand in Gundersheim, and the historic Liebfrauenstift-Kirchenstück in Worms. Dense vine spacing, low yields, and minimal-intervention winemaking in a traditional vaulted cellar produce wines the family describes as rooted and traditional, yet modern and open-minded.
