About Weingut Engler

Weingut Engler is a family-run estate in Müllheim, in Baden's Markgräflerland region, founded in 1892 by Max Engler-Rieggerdt and now led in its fourth generation by Andrea Engler-Waibel since 2004. Farming roughly 10-12 hectares across the Reggenhag, Pfaffenstück and Sonnhalde sites in Müllheim and the steep, stony Römerberg in Badenweiler, the estate has gone without herbicides or insecticides for over 30 years. Gutedel (Chasselas), the historic specialty of the Markgräflerland, is its flagship grape — the winery has won the regional Gutedel Cup five times — alongside Spätburgunder, Weißburgunder/Grauburgunder and other Baden varieties. Its Kabinett wines are fermented dry without chaptalization, bottled as close as possible to how the grapes were harvested.
