Weingut am Stein - Ludwig Knoll is a fifth-generation family estate in Würzburg, Franken, farming roughly 40 hectares centered on the celebrated Würzburger Stein vineyard. A VDP (Verband Deutscher Prädikatsweingüter) member since 2001, the estate has been certified organic since 2008 and now farms biodynamically (Naturland, respekt-BIODYN). It is led by owner Ludwig Knoll together with cellar master Marius Rau. Its Silvaner and Riesling, grown on Muschelkalk (shell-limestone) soils, are consistently ranked among Franken's best, earning 4.5 stars in the Vinum WeinGuide Deutschland 2026.
