Tenuta Sant'Agata is a small, family-run estate in the Sant'Agata locality of Castagneto Carducci, at the heart of the Bolgheri DOC zone in Tuscany. Founded in 2006 when Massimo Bacchetta purchased the property and planted his first vines the following year with organic farming in mind, the winery now works a few hectares of vineyard producing Bolgheri Rosso (Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah) and Bolgheri Bianco (Chardonnay, Viognier/Vermentino), aged in French oak. Bacchetta's daughters Anna and Chiara have since joined the family business. Beyond DOC wines, the estate also bottles the IGT Toscana 'Vespero' Rosso and Bianco and produces an organic extra virgin olive oil that was featured in the Slow Food Extra Virgin Oil Guide.
