Tada Winery's signature everyday red, blending estate-grown Campbell Early with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2019 vintage used roughly 85% Campbell Early, 10% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, though the exact ratio shifts slightly with each harvest. The Campbell Early grapes come from a veteran grower in Yoichi — an elderly farmer whose son, after retiring from his company job, now helps tend the vines — while the Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are grown on the Tada estate in Kamifurano. Fermented with indigenous wild yeasts and left unfiltered, with only a small dose of sulfites added at bottling, the wine keeps Campbell Early's soft, candied-fruit sweetness at its core while the Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon add structure, dark-berry depth and a touch of coniferous, woody nuance. Named "Denen Rouge" — denen meaning countryside/farmland in Japanese and rouge meaning red in French — it captures the easy-drinking, farmhouse character of Tada Winery's rural Furano vineyards.

Sommelier's Note
