A medium-sweet rosé from Sunmamoru Winery's Tsugaru Wine series, blending the winery's standard 100% Steuben (a black hybrid grape grown in Tsugaru, Aomori) with wild Yamabudo (Vitis coignetiae) grown in Owani, Aomori. Non-vintage. Pale ruby in color, it opens with Steuben's berry-fruit and floral aromas, while the Yamabudo contributes a firmer, more astringent acidity and fruit character; the blend is finished off-dry to balance that structure into a refreshing, light-bodied wine. Released under the winery's cherry-blossom 'Sakura Label' art design, distinguishing it from the standard, dry Rose Steuben (100% Steuben, no Yamabudo) — a related but distinct bottling in the lineup, not merely a relabeling of it.
Steuben's floral fruit and Yamabudo's wild-grape backbone make this Sunmamoru's most food-friendly off-dry rosé — livelier and more structured than the standard, dry Rose Steuben.
